Hi, I'm Laura, the creative force behind The Crafty Assemble!

For as long as I can remember, I've had a proper passion for making things with my own two hands. I started out in fashion, and that's where I really honed my eye for style and design. But it wasn't until I truly embraced the world of mixed media that everything clicked. I love the freedom of working with fibres, textiles, polymer clay, and resin – it means every piece I create, whether it's a bold jewellery statement or a quirky home accessory, is truly one-of-a-kind. There's something magical about turning raw materials into something fabulous that makes you feel good.

What gets me buzzing about teaching? It's seeing that spark in someone's eyes when they create something they're genuinely proud of. I absolutely adore guiding people, whether they're a complete beginner or looking to refine their skills, and helping them discover their own creative flair. There's no better feeling than sharing my passion and watching others fall in love with making.

Now, a little secret about my craft that most folks might not know... because I love to explore so many different materials and techniques – from the delicate sparkle of crystals to the intricate patterns of Bargello, or the cosy glow of a handmade candle – it's a real adventure! It's not just about following a pattern; it's about understanding how each material works and finding clever ways to combine them. But that challenge is what makes it so exciting!

I've been creating for years, and now I'm absolutely chuffed to be bringing my passion for making to you through these workshops. My fashion background means I bring a unique, high-end perspective to everything I do – so you can expect to learn how to create pieces that are truly stylish and make a statement, whether you're crafting a charm bracelet, a retro coaster, or your very own candle holder.
