Sitara J. Gare
I am an arborist, home gardener and Eco therapist that has over 20 years' experience working with trees for local government. I have a passion for Australian native trees and the connection between people, trees and society in Australia. I have travelled extensively nationally and internationally learning about the field of arboriculture in the northern hemisphere with the view to education Australians on the importance and value that trees have to our nation and our lives. I believe that through Australians understanding more about how unique and diverse our native trees are we can do more to save them. Prior to working as an arborist, I was a counsellor at Kids Help Line, and it was through burn out that I discovered how trees can change your lives. I pivoted my whole career at age 30 to discover my passion for trees and the natural environment.
