Maria Miguel Ribeiro (PhD. RYT® 500) founder of MeditationWorks.

Her life experience as an academic researcher on the roles of personal values in sustainability, consultant and project manager informed and inspired her to pursue a career in teaching yoga and meditation.

Maria Miguel practices yoga since 1998, and is a certified teacher since 2012. She completed a 500-hour Himalayan Yoga Tradition teacher training along with two other 200-hour teacher trainings, including those in the styles of Vinyasa and Sivananda school. Most recently she returned from two years of intensive training with the Gurukulam Programme at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama, in India. Among many others, Maria Miguel’s work is deeply influenced by the teachings of the Himalayan Yoga Tradition (Swami Veda Bharati and Swami Rama).
