Institut Amadeus

The Amadeus Institute is a professional think tank founded in 2008 and based in Rabat. Initially positioned as a laboratory of ideas tackling issues linked to the Euro Mediterranean region, it has expanded its scope to evolve into a credible interlocutor on global themes, particularly focusing on emerging countries.

The Institute’s main strategy is to favor interactions between government, private sector and civil society through the organization of international conferences such as the MEDays Forum or the Global Growth Conference (see the chapters detailing these conferences) and on the national level through the regular organization of local workshops.

Besides the geopolitical and economic topics usually raised, the Institute’s areas of interests also include the education system, rising middle classes, the rapprochement between Morocco and countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, renewable energies, economic growth, the Arab spring, the Israeli Palestinian peace process or the role of Morocco in Africa’s development. All the reflections and recommendations issued from these exchanges are nurtured by the Institute’s research team and compiled in reports and publications.

Thanks to a large international network, expanding year after year, the Amadeus Institute is conducting important lobbying activities to promote the image of Morocco’s on the International scene.
