GOGREENLOCALLY ORG - 501c3 Eco Action Nonprofit
If you care about our people and the planet, it can be a challenge to find the right connections, tools, and resources to make a difference on a local level. That’s why GoGreenLocally connects, equips, and engages people in local communities across the country to help them take on more local action to clean, repair the environment, protect our natural resources, and work for a more sustainable world.
GOGREENLOCALLY (GGL) searches for and shares local and virtual green events going on across the U.S. and sends the links out in a monthly event list to subscribers. GGL also hosts peer support events to help bring people together that are taking action in their local communities and want to rally with their peers to encourage and learn from each other for even greater success.
Some of the many types of events we support and help to expand are:
-community cleanups - trash pickups of all types
-conferences- sustainable and regenerative farming, etc.
-community swap or lending library events - seed swaps, clothing swaps, toy lending library
-upcycling classes - how to upcycle clothing, furniture, etc.
-repair clinics - before you throw it out, try to repair it first
-festivals - earth day, whole food fairs, maker fairs, green gift bazaars, green events
-environmental restoration projects for degraded land and fire-damaged areas
-installing urban small-scale forests
-installing pollinator-friendly and biodiversity-supporting gardens
