Echosens is an innovative high-technology company offering a full range of products and services supporting physicians in their assessment and management of patients with chronic liver diseases. There were over 700 million cases of chronic liver diseases in Europe, the PRC and the United States by the end of 2015. Our products and solutions support physicians in their assessment of patients with various types of chronic liver diseases, including diseases caused by virus, such as HBV and HCV, and diseases caused by alcohol abuse or obesity, such as AFLD, NAFLD, NASH and ASH.

FibroScan Range

Our FibroScan devices use our proprietary Vibration Controlled Transient Elastography (“VCTE”) technology to generate precise quantitative measurements of key liver parameters. Based on the inducement and the measurement of a shear wave, VCTE technology generates precise quantitative measurements of key liver parameters. It notably quantifies liver stiffness, a physical parameter that measures a liver’s resistance to deformation. Compared to liver biopsy, our FibroScan devices offer a non-invasive, point-of-care, easier-to-use alternative way to support physicians in their assessment of chronic liver diseases. The measurements are readily available to physicians in a few minutes. The FibroScan exam avoids any risk linked to a biopsy exam, most specifically those related to tissue extraction. All FibroScans are today all manufactured in France which allows better control on production and quality.

FibroMeter Range

FibroMeter blood test analysing tools use a proprietary cloud-based calculator to analyse blood test data from blood sample analyses undertaken at medical laboratories. FibroMeter tools perform calculations on the data to generate detailed reports that assess chronic liver diseases and support physicians in their diagnoses. It can be used in combination with FibroScan. FibroMeter provides several results covering main liver chronic diseases, as described in many clinical publications. FibroView

FibroView software solutions services enable our FibroScan end-users to optimise and improve their diagnosis process. Our current FibroView software solutions offer both comprehensive and customised reports from FibroScan exams, as well as the ability to connect FibroScan devices to hospital information systems.

Echosens has sold and distributed our products both directly and through distributors in 80 countries in the world. Echosens has an extensive sales and distribution network that includes more than 40 distributors (exclusive of any local sub-distributors) covering over 60 countries as at 30 April 2016. Echosens has actively marketed our products and services directly in 11 countries, including in most of our major markets in Europe and in the United States. In addition, in the PRC, Echosens has a local team of sales representatives managing and supporting a network of local sub-distributors.
