Meet Allan & Tom

If you’ve spent any time around whisky in Manchester or the North West, you’ve probably bumped into one of these two characters.

Allan has been behind the bar longer than most of us have been drinking, best known for running the iconic Briton’s Protection. For years it’s been the place in Manchester for an incredible dram, and Allan’s knack for knowing exactly what whisky to put in your glass is legendary.

Tom is the chap from Tipples of Manchester, the little spirits shop that became a home-from-home for many whisky fans. He’s been running tastings, chatting all things malt, and helping people discover new favourites with his mix of geeky knowledge and cheeky humour.

Between them, Allan and Tom have hosted more whisky tastings than they can count – and now they’ve decided it’s time to team up.

So what can you expect?

• Great whisky (the kind you’ll want to tell your mates about).
• A bit of geekiness (but never too serious).
• Plenty of laughs and probably some daft stories too.

At the end of the day, it’s two mates sharing brilliant drams with anyone who fancies joining.
