Andrew Suseno

Andrew Suseno is an Indonesian-Chinese American residing on the unceded land of Lenaphoking aka New York City. He has a Physical Therapy doctorate, Feldenkrais Practitioner and a Certified Laban Movement Analyst with significant dance and Contact Improvisation experiences. Andrew created Moving Rasa as a means for people of the Global Majority to recover their agency through culturally specific site-specific movement improvisation, social critical inquiry and community organizing. He uses his connection to Moving Rasa through his Javanese, Indonesian roots to support others to connect to their hybrid cultural specificity.

Andrew's organization, Moving Rasa LLC is the proud recipient of the American Rescue Plan to work with AAPI survivors of sexual assault across the country. His work has found traction in many sectors of society including various mediums of art, community psychology, activism, urban planners and teacher's unions.
