
The Poetry Practice Ltd
The Poetry Practice Ltd organises events in the areas of poetry, writing and education for health, wellbeing and community. It manages the small press, fal publications.
Its Directors are Victoria Field and Eduard Heyning.
Victoria was described in Poetry Review as a pioneer in poetry and healing in the UK. She has a background in psychology and cultural management, is a former Director of Survivors Poetry, former Chair of Lapidus International and is a qualified Mentor for the International Federation for Biblio-Poetry Therapy. Together with Anne Taylor, she co-directs two popular online courses for the Professional Writing Academy which have been completed by hundreds of students from over thirty countries. She has worked in many community, social care and educational settings using poetry and literature to promote wellbeing.
She has co-edited three books on therapeutic writing and her own poetry has been published by Waterloo Press, Francis Boutle Publishers and appeared in many magazines and anthologies, including Best British Poetry. She also writes drama and fiction and her work has been produced in Truro and Canterbury and featured on BBC Radio 3 and 4. She is currently researching transformative writing and the pilgrim identity at Canterbury Christ Church University.
Eduard has degrees in music, theology and medieval history, composes and plays clarinets and saxophones. He is an experienced festival manager and music promoter.
Victoria and Eduard Heyning collaborate on performances, especially in sacred spaces.
