TheNANOTRANSMEDconsortium rely on a “multifunctional” approach, based on the dendritic materials technology. The aim is to graft polyvalent branched molecules – dendrimers – on a substrate in order to create multi-functional objects or surfaces.The project aims at developing, designing and improving biocompatible and innovative nano-objects (circulating probes or implant’ coatings) by conferring them: specific targeting capacities, antibacterial properties, enhanced in vivo stability & reduced toxicity.The global aim of theSPIRITSproject is to develop hybrid image-guided surgery by the development of robotic devices. Interventional radiology with percutaneous procedures is at the same time a representative context and a significant market. Percutaneous procedures have been proven of interest from a medical point of view for early diagnostic and treatment of different type of cancers. Tumor ablation is notably possible for lung, liver, kidney cancers that represent 22% of the total number of new cases per year. Introducing robotic solutions first for percutaneous procedures in interventional radiology is of interest.TheECPM's mission is to transform students over a three-year programme into trilingual chemists equipped with the practical training required by the chemical industries, and in particular the fields of health, environment,sustainable development,energy and emerging materials.Five internationally recognized laboratories (LIMA UMR7042, ICPEES UMR7515, ICS UPR22, IPHC UMR7178 and IPCMS UMR7504) are closely associated to ECPM, CNRS and the University of Strasbourg and are conductingcutting-edge and innovative researches in these fields.BioValley Franceis one of the 3 world-class Healthcare competitiveness clusters in France dedicated topharmaceuticals and therapeutic innovations, medical technologies, diagnosis and eHealth. BioValley France offers a wide range of services to companies and academic players such as business networking, events, international development, communication support, labeling, etc.

The INTERREG V consortia NANOTRANSMED and SPIRITS, ECPM School and BioValley France organize the first edition of the Upper Rhine Health Tech Innovation Forum. This trinational event (France, Germany, Switzerland) will gather international players around TechMed, BioTech and Diagnostic May 15th and 16th 2019 in ECPM – Strasbourg.
