Thiepval Somme 110
The Royal British Legion110th Anniversary of the Battle of the Somme commemoration, at the British Memorial to the Missing, Thiepval, France
The Royal British Legion in supported by the CWGC and local organisations host the 110th Commemoration of the Battle of the Somme at the Largest Memorial to the British Army in the World at Thiepval. The service will be at the centre of the commemorations on the 1st July 2026, allowing communities of France and the Commonwealth to come together to pay respect to those that died during the Battle of the Somme 1916 and to remember the sacrifices of those who took part in the offensive.
The ceremony will commence at 1200hrs, the public are requested to be seated by 1130hrs. There is limited seating available on a first come first served basis.
Vehicle access is restricted. People travelling in private vehicles must use the free park and ride facility which will depart from Albert from 0800hrs and run until 1800hrs. This is a shuttle service between Thiepval and Albert.
The event is open to all, however you must register in advance.
The site is exposed and therefore attendees should dress appropriately.
Refreshments and toilet facilities are availble at the Thiepval Somme visitors centre on site.
