You will gain skills that will enable you to maximize your time in the water. You will learn surf-specific warm-ups drills and discover key recovery protocols. We will improve your understanding of fundamental surf movement patterns, and assess and enhance your ability to perform them. You will work on surf-specific breathwork exercises and gain vital knowledge in surf performance topics and under wave hold-downs that will increase your confidence in the water. No matter your ability, these sessions will change the way you surf for life. Practical: A pre-surf warm-up drill that will effectively activate your body for your surf sessions.Surf MovementDiscussion: The fundamental surf movement patterns and how to train as a surfer.Practical: A flow-style surf movement workout.Surf Recovery Discussion: Post surf recovery strategies and nutritional protocols.Practical: Self tissue release techniques with a post-surf recovery stretching routine.Surf Breath-workDiscussion: Surf hold-down situations and how to improve your breath-hold.Practical: Breathing exercises that will improve your breath-hold capacity. ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONFitness/Surf Level: All levels welcome, techniques taught are suitable for all abilities.Equipment: Please bring a yoga mat if you have one, no other equipment required.Clothing: Wear exercise clothing, bring an extra layer just incase.Refreshments: Please bring your own refreshments and bottle water with you.Covid-19: With respect to Covid-19 guidelines, these workshops will take place outdoors in a spacious area. No more than ten persons shall be in attendance at any single workshop. Social distancing protocol will be adhered to at all times. We encourage protective wear. Please act responsibly to protect yourselves and others around you. Please do not attend if you have any symptoms of Covid-19, if you have already purchased a ticket and you have symptoms a full refund will be paid for your cancellation.LOCATION/MEETING POINTWe will meet at the very north end of Plage du Rey at the north end of Lac d Hossegor on the beach right next to the oyster restaurants. Please be there before 17hr as the workshop will take place on the other side of the restaurants in a more suitable and quieter spot. If you are late please walk past the restaurants and you will find us at on the grass just after La Paillote restaurant at the top of the lake.
