Spend five days immersed in jazz in Paris — then step onto a stage and perform live with a professional band during Fête de la Musique, one of the most vibrant music celebrations in the world.

This is more than a singing workshop. It is an artistic immersion designed to help you grow in confidence, deepen your musical expression, and experience what it feels like to truly inhabit jazz — not only in the practice room, but in real performance.

Throughout the week, you will work closely in a small group, explore jazz phrasing and interpretation, rehearse with a professional band, experience the jazz culture of Paris, and prepare for a public concert during a city-wide celebration where music fills the streets of Paris late into the night.

For many singers, the biggest obstacle is not talent — it is feeling fully free, expressive, and confident enough to take up space musically.

This experience was created to help change that.

Whether you are newer to jazz or already singing and looking to deepen your artistry, the Paris Jazz Experience will help you become a more grounded, expressive, and confident performer in a supportive but artistically challenging environment.

Experience Fête de la Musique — As a Performer

Every year on 21 June, Paris transforms into one enormous celebration of live music.

Fête de la Musique takes place throughout France, but experiencing it in Paris is something truly special. Music spills out onto the streets as singers, bands, DJs, orchestras, and musicians of every genre perform in cafés, bars, clubs, squares, courtyards, and public spaces across the city.

From the afternoon until late into the night, Paris becomes one enormous stage.

And this year, you won't just be watching it.

You'll be part of it.

The Paris Jazz Experience culminates in a public performance with a professional jazz band during Fête de la Musique itself.

After spending the week developing your songs, interpretation, phrasing, stage presence, and musical communication, you will have the opportunity to bring that work onto a real stage and share it with a live audience.

This isn't a simulated student recital.

It is a real performance experience during one of the biggest musical celebrations in Paris — surrounded by the spontaneity, excitement, and energy of a city completely taken over by music.

Our concert takes place in the early evening, from approximately 18:00–20:00, leaving you free afterwards to head into Paris and experience the rest of Fête de la Musique.

Who This Experience Is For

This experience is designed for singers who:

• feel drawn to jazz but want to feel more confident and at ease within the style

• want to improve phrasing, rhythm, interpretation, and musical freedom

• are ready to move beyond overthinking and become more expressive in performance

• have little or no experience performing with a live band — or want to strengthen that experience

• want a meaningful artistic experience combining music, growth, community, and inspiration

You do not need to be a professional singer. However, you should feel comfortable singing in front of others and be ready to actively participate throughout the week.

Structure of the Week

Each day combines focused vocal work with practical musical experiences, artistic exploration, and time to enjoy Paris.

Morning — Group jazz vocal sessions

Afternoon — Free time, rehearsals, or optional private lessons

After the concert, the night is yours to experience Fête de la Musique!

We'll head out to celebrate and enjoy Paris while streets, cafés, bars, squares, and venues across the city fill with live music.

About Your Teacher

Maja Savić is a jazz singer and vocal coach based in Paris with over 15 years of professional performance experience.

Her work focuses on helping singers develop both technical clarity and artistic confidence, with particular attention to jazz phrasing, rhythm, improvisation, interpretation, emotional expression, and authentic musical communication.

Her approach combines vocal and musical work with body awareness, breath, improvisation, and performance practice, helping singers move beyond simply singing the “right notes” and develop a sound and presence that feel genuinely their own.

Throughout the week, Maja leads all group sessions personally and performs alongside participants during the final concert.
