About this event
Join us on November 17th, 2022 (9h15-11h15 CET) in a side event of the Smart City Expo World Congress Barcelona to learn from experts and exchange with peers!
During the event, the PROTECT team will empower smart cities to become forerunners in delivering Europe’s climate adaptation and mitigation agenda.
Organised as part of the Smart City Expo World Congress Barcelona, the PROTECT project side-event will be the opportunity for public buyers from European cities and regions to shape next generation climate services through innovative procurement approaches.
This event will present preliminary project results and share insights and feedback from participants. A keynote speech delivered by a representative of the European Commission will shed light on the EU’s climate action policy agenda. Experts on climate change adaptation and mitigation, as well as innovation procurement practitioners will exchange knowledge, good practices and ideas. The event will also leave room for networking to discuss joint approaches for a future cross-border procurement approach.
You can find a detailed agenda here.
The PROTECT workshop is free of charge, please pre-register. Participation requires an access pass to the Smart City Expo World Congress Barcelona.
PROTECT supports urgent action for climate adaptation, mitigation and resilience. It enables public authorities to use state-of-the-art public procurement approaches in order to identify solutions – climate services based on Earth Observation – that best fit the specific and systemic needs of the public demand. The focus is on five application domains, namely: Utilities, Green communities, Circular and Bioeconomy, Land use and Marine environment and Civil Security and Protection.
By registering to this event you agree to receive news about PROTECT.
