Discover Nature - Chamonix
Slow down and see more on a relaxed outdoor experience exploring the nature and landscape of the Chamonix Valley.
Discover the natural wonders of Chamonix with the Chirpy Choughs!
Led by Patrick Markey-Bell, founder of Chirpy Choughs, these events are relaxed, educational and designed to help people experience the mountains in a slower and more meaningful way.
Within just a short walk you’ll begin to see the mountains differently; learning how landscapes are formed, how wildlife survives, and how humans and nature coexist in the Alps. This outdoor experience will introduce you to the geology, ecology and human histories of the mountain.
These events are designed to be slow and mindful, explorative and accessible to everyone. No hiking experience is needed.
Whether you have just arrived in Chamonix for the Tour du Mont Blanc, are visiting on holiday, enjoying a rest day, or living locally, this is an opportunity to slow down, notice the world around you, learn something new, and connect more deeply with the natural world.
