When our differences transform the way we design
All too often, our spaces, tools, services and systems continue to be designed based on standards that exclude certain sections of the population. Yet disability, the diversity of human experiences and real-world usage can become powerful drivers of innovation, creativity and social transformation.
How can we truly place people at the heart of design processes? How can we sustainably integrate inclusive design into higher education, public policy and professional practice? And how can we work together to build more human, accessible and collaborative approaches at European and international level?
Design 2 Freedom ‘Putting People at the Heart of Inclusive Design’ is a day of reflection, discussion and co-creation bringing together architects, designers, researchers, universities, European institutions, associations and practitioners to explore person-centred design and disability.
Through an international panel and several participatory workshops, the event will explore new perspectives for bringing about lasting change in inclusive design practices within higher education, organisations and society.
