FIRST DEDICATED FORUM FOR CYBERJUSTICE PROFESSIONALS AT A EUROPEAN LEVEL
Hosted by the Council of Europe at the organization’s Headquarters in Strasbourg in presence of the representatives of court administrations from the 47 Member States, the conference will also gather professionals from courts, the legal and the digital sectors, as well as reknown international academics. This unique meeting occasion between decision makers, practitioners, innovators and researchers will contribute to keep the promise of a modernized justice system promoting the democratic values of a fair trial for 820 Million Europeans.
3 PLENARY SESSIONS TO DISCUSS THE POTENTIALS AND CHALLENGES OF DEVELOPING TECHNOLGY FOR COURT SYSTEMS
Opening session will explore the question of "What Benefits can Justice Expect from an Open Government?", as mid-day performance, led by Cyberjustice Laboratory international research team, will provoke and share ideas on "Implementing the Distributed Courtroom". Last but not least, closing session will address issues about "Artificial Intelligence and the Law : the Dawn of a New Era?".
4 CONCURENT WORKSHOPS TO LEARN FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF PARTICIPANTS, SHARE LESSONS LEARNED FROM LATEST RESEARCH AND GOOD PRACTICES
Invited reseachers and professionals will present their most recent work and findings to engage into a dialogue with the audience on a variety of themes during the conference: "Courts and their Audience Online", "No Cyberjustice without Cybersecurity", "Tools of Predictive Justice", "Technology Interactions in the Courtroom".
