Entre 1985 et 1987, le journaliste américain Edward Serotta a photographié la vie quotidienne dans la Roumanie communiste. La Securitate l’a secrètement photographié en retour. Quarante ans plus tard, les deux archives se rencontrent dans un champ-contrechamp révélant l’ironie de l’Histoire.

Between 1985 and 1987, American journalist Edward Serotta photographed daily life in Communist Romania. The Securitate secretly photographed him in return. Forty years later, the two archives meet in a shot reverse shot revealing the irony of History.

This work is based on an image found in the Colombian news archives. It shows how death invaded a place that was not meant for it: the El León de Greiff auditorium at the National University of Colombia.

Set fifteen years after the 2010 military massacre in Bangkok, it’s the filmmaker’s process of preparing a fictional trial for her next feature. It reflects on truth, justice, and the lingering wounds of history.
