More than 10 years have passed since Blockchain technology appeared in the form of Bitcoin. Blockchain is a technology that creates blocks containing data at regular intervals and then connects them to previous blocks like a chain.

The World Economic Forum in 2016, the Davos Forum in 2018, and Gartner, a global market research organization, predicted that Blockchain is a technology with high growth potential and is an indispensable core technology in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (hyper connectivity, hyper intelligence, hyper realism, and hyper trust). Blockchain technology can realize the hyper trust.

The world is actively promoting technology development that integrates Blockchain into various fields such as finance, logistics, healthcare. etc. Therefore, Blockchain technology is receiving a significant attention from society as a core technology that will change the paradigm of existing business.

This webinar highlights the trust technology Blockchain and its business applications and introduces.

A presentation hosted by Kwansoo KIM, an assistant professor of IS in the Institut Mines-Télécom Business School.

About the speaker :

Kwansoo KIM is an assistant professor of IS in the Institut Mines-Télécom Business School. He earned his Ph.D. degree in MIS from the College of Business Administration at Seoul National University. He received his M.S. in Information System and G.D. in Economics at the Australian National University and his B.B.A at Hanyang University. His research interests include emerging technologies, online music and entertainment, the market for mobile phone services, financial IS underlying technology, social sentiment analysis, etc. His research papers have appeared in the International Journal of Electronic Commerce, Electronic Commerce Research and Applications, and ICIS, HICSS, PACIS, AMCIS, etc.
