Our first Agora explored different approaches to teaching futures that enable youth from different parts of the world to express themselves on climate-related issues. For this second Agora, we want to reflect on the ways in which eco-emotions are deeply present when discussing climate issues, how they affect people’s ability to project themselves into the future, and the role they place when anticipating paths towards action.
During this session, we will discuss the different types of emotions that can arise, and explore various practices and approaches used in youth spaces to express and cope with these emotions. We will also open a conversation about the conditions that enable youth to recognize and engage with these emotions and transform them into empowering actions.
