Winter tales from Marcovaldo by Italo Calvino

About this Event
STORY TIME and CREATIVE PAPER CUTTING
Marcovaldo is an enchanting collection of twenty stories that are both melancholy and funny, farce and fantasy. Calvino charts Marcovaldo’s struggles to reconcile country habits with urban life, combining comical disasters with a surrealistic view of city life through the eyes of an outsider. As Marcovaldo chases his dreams, we are taken on a journey to recognise our own yearnings for reason, adventures and escapades.
Isabelle Townsend has selected 3 of the 5 Marcovaldo winter tales, to read for us. As well as the English performance at the scheduled time above (6pm UK / 7pm CET) there will also be a performance in French at 4pm CET ( also under eventbrite tickets , simply make sure you press the ticket saying 'version francais').
A confirmation email will be sent to you when you book. Please do check that the email doesn't end up in an unwanted mailbox.
We will send you templates in a separate email, should you wish to paper cut whilst the story is being told, so be sure to have paper and scissors at hand. Of course, you are more than welcome to participate without cutting; your open minded curiosity is the most important thing to bring with you.
We welcome EVERYONE to this story time; Marcovaldo is both suitable and enjoyable for everyone from age 7. We are eager to share creative thoughts, making more out of what we have and being together, even if it is 'only' online. So, please don't make the reason for not joining a financial one. On the contrary, discover how it can lift your spirits when you create something out of practically nothing whilst you engage yourself in the imaginary world of storytelling . We trust you to pay what you can afford - no questions asked, Two by Two creators, are truly grateful for all contributions, as creativity is our source of income.
Yo can book your ticket via the Eventbrite ticket button.
Looking forward to sharing Italo Calvino's Marcovaldo with you.
