The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF) at the University of Luxembourg is pleased to invite you, as part of the Central Banking Law Lecture Series, to the lecture:


The legal framework governing the single monetary policy in the euro area and an introduction to the Emergency Liquidity Assistance (ELA) Mechanism in the Euro system


In his fifth lecture on Central Banking Law, Professor Gortsos will develop on the legal framework - both primary and secondary EU law - governing the monetary policy within the Eurosystem.

He will also briefly discuss the Emergency Liquidity Assistance Mechanism in the Euro system, with an emphasis on the role of national central banks and the ECB therein.
