About this event
'The Elderly, the digital divide and citizenship' is a two-days online event for anyone interested in the topics of digital citizenship, inclusion of seniors, policies for the elderly and active ageing.
By joining us on 17-18 June, you will get the chance to:
- explore practical solutions for bridging the digital divide suffered by the elderly, which have been tried and tested by cities such as Marseille, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Genoa, Cluj-Napoca and Varna
- learn about the EU's Green Paper on Ageing
- find out how elderly people experience the processes of digitalization
- hear from EU and local policy-makers, researchers and stakeholders
- ask them a question or share your experience on the topic.
The event will take place online and is free with registration. Registered participants will receive details on how to connect on Zoom a few days before the event.
'The Elderly, the digital divide and citizenship' is brought to you by Altona, a district of Hamburg and the City of Marseille, with the media partnership of TheMayor.EU.
The seminar is the second of six events planned as parts of the EUDIGIT - European Digital Citizens project, funded under Europe for Citizens programme of the European Union.
