English camp for 5-9 year olds

We will be studying phonetics over two days with the aim of getting our children to recognize the key sounds, and, according to your child's age, to use them in key words in their own story.

We will be differentiating between phonetics like "i" (icicle) and "e" (centipede) with specific stories that come from the Arctic Circle to the African savanna.

7th July : 🧐 Recognizing phonetics

We will be sounding out the phonetics in the stories taken from books used for primary school, age 5 up to age 9.

You child will craft his/her favourite animal, and describe it using the phonetics learned.

8th July : 😁Practising phonetics

We will be writing a story based on our newly-discovered phonetics, or, describing a day in the life of our favourite animal with key words.

We will be making refrigerator biscuits that we can eat for goûter. 🥳

As a fun camp, games play a central role, including at midday, where the children can eat their packed lunch, roam, and play the games provided. You children can select a book to start in the lunch break, and can take home with them (if they are coming for both days).

These workshops are designed to give you an idea of the English classes that will be launched in September on Wednesdays for two groups, of 6-7 year olds and 8-10 year olds.

As an exclusively English-speaking group, your children will be living and loving English by the end of the course!
