About this event

Summer Space Academy – Exploring Space Together

As part of the Astronaut for a Day contest, the Luxembourg Space Agency, in collaboration with the Aeronautics and Space Agency and the Estonian Space Office, is proud to present the Summer Space Academy. This series of webinars is designed to introduce participants to exciting topics in space.

This second webinar, hosted by the Estonian Space Office, will focus on Astronaut’s Mind: Preparing for the Teamwork Challenges of Space and will be presented by Andres Käosaar

Andres Käosaar is a space psychologist from Estonia who studies how people work together in extreme environments like space missions, Antarctica, and even during his upcoming Atlantic Ocean row. He is a PhD student in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of Central Florida, where he works on NASA-funded projects exploring teamwork, trust, and resilience for future Moon and Mars missions. Earlier in his career, he also interned at the European Space Agency, contributing to research on human performance in space exploration. Through both science and real-life extreme experiences, he aims to better understand what helps teams thrive in the most challenging conditions.
