Architecture in the Immediate

What is the role of architecture in times of polycrisis? How and why does the immediate inspire us to work through care and hospitality for those who face global vulnerabilities?

The French and Qatar Pavilions, and the Art Mill Museum, jointly present Architecture in the Immediate, a conference that addresses contemporary issues architects face today.

Moderated by Dominique Jakob, co-curator of Vivre avec/Living with, the French Pavilion exhibition in the Giardini della Biennale, Aurélien Lemonier and Sean Anderson, co-curators of Beyti Beytak. My Home is Your Home. La mia casa è la tua casa, the Qatar Pavilion exhibition at ACP-Palazzo Franchetti and in the Giardini della Biennale.

– Beyti Beytak. My Home is Your Home. La mia casa è la tua casa, Qatar Pavilion at ACP-Palazzo Franchetti and in the Giardini della Biennale (organised by the Art Mill Museum).

Guided Tours Before the Conference
Participants are warmly invited to join guided tours ahead of the conference:
– 11:30 am — Tour of the French Pavilion (Vivre avec / Living With at the Giardini della Biennale) - This visit is organized as part of the Pavilion Days of the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale (9 and 10 October). Registration is mandatory here.
– 2:00 pm — Tour of Beyti Beytak. My Home is Your Home. La mia casa è la tua casa at ACP-Palazzo Franchetti with the Curators (meet in the foyer, piano nobile)
