Description

LAUNCH OF INSEAD WOMEN IN BUSINESS ALUMNI CLUB BELGIUM!

Prof. Eric Uhlmann, INSEAD and Kay Formanek, Kay, Diversity and Performance,
present two experiential workshops on Gender in the Workplace

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of INSEAD admitting its first female MBA students, two lucky ladies, Helene Ploix and Solange Perret, and the launch of our INSEAD Women in Business Alumni Club, we are delighted to invite you to two exceptional experiential workshops on 10 May 2017, given by two formidable experts on stereotyping and discrimination. These will allow all participants to experience, collectively reflect and apply tools back in the workplace. Be prepared to be surprised, challenged and to have great fun!

We present our afternoon workshop as a “gift” in celebration of our special anniversary and launch. Our workshops are open to both female and male alumni and their friends.

2:00pm - 6:00pm – Master Class

Using a role-play exercise, including a salary negotiation, we bring some of the challenges of gender in the workplace to life:

How can female professionals obtain fair value for their work? What are the structural and psychological barriers to gender equality and what can be done to get around these? What is the psychology of stereotyping? What are the gender gaps in pay and negotiation outcomes? What is unconscious bias? What tools can participants use in salary negotiation?

All materials will be provided during the session. We will serve refreshments during the Masterclass.

INSEAD alumni and their partners are welcome, and both men and women are encouraged to attend!

6:30pm – 10:30pm – Official launch of Women in Business Club

Agenda:

6:30pm: Welcome Drink

6:45pm – 9:00pm: Workshop

What is the new Integrated Diversity Model? How does it lead to transformation using diversity? What does it mean for leaders when leading diverse talent to deliver transformation and performance? How can each of us make a difference? What tools do we need for this transformation?
