Description
Dr Hezareh has extensive international experience in all clinical aspects of global vaccine development throughout post-licensure regulatory commitments, in the field of HIV, meningococcal and pneumococcal diseases, HPV, Polio, Zoster, and Dengue. Dr Hezareh received a PhD from University of Geneva in Switzerland and began her career as a post-doctoral fellow in the field of HIV pathogenesis and development of vaccine at the University of San Diego, California, USA, and later as a research associate at the Scripps research institute in La Jolla. During this time, she gradually transitioned to clinical research and moved to Los Angeles to take on a position as a scientific director at the AIDS Research Alliance, where she led clinical research projects for development of anti-HIV drug and prevention strategies. She also acted as investigator and sub-investigator in multiple vaccine and microbicides trials. After moving back to Europe, Dr. Hezareh pursued her career as a consultant, senior clinical research and development lead at GSK in Belgium, leading Phase II-III programs in paediatric, adolescent and adult vaccine programs in US and globally.
