External registration / CLIMATE JUSTICE
Overview
Masterclass jointly organised by the School of Public Affairs and the Law School of Sciences Po, with the participation of Professor Laurent Neyret.
We rarely get the opportunity to reflect on international governance in climate and environmental matters, the outcomes of COP30, the current state of environmental crime, and many other pressing topics—especially with experts as insightful as Maud Sarliève and Diego Colas.
Maud Sarliève leads the secretariat of the Climate Research Forum/Oxford Sustainable Law Programme. A specialist in climate litigation, she has conducted fieldwork in Ukraine, examining the qualification of ecocide in the context of the Russian invasion since 2022.
Diego Colas serves as the Director of Legal Affairs at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Quai d’Orsay). A former French Ambassador to Georgia and an expert in international relations, he authored France’s official position in the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which affirms state responsibility for climate obligations.
Laurent Neyret will also contribute to the conversation. An expert in environmental law, and former chief of staff of Laurent Fabius, President of the French Conseil Constitutionnel between 2018 and 2025, he currently teaches at Sciences Po.
Join us on Wednesday 26th November, at 7:15 PM in the Jean Moulin Amphitheater (13U) for this compelling discussion (the conference will be held in English).
The discussion will be moderated by students from both schools.
