The EBA is organising an EBA Liquidity Management Seminar “The perfect storm: How the liquidity ecosystem is shifting to a new paradigm” that takes place in London, UK, on 28 and 29 March 2023.
We are currently witnessing unprecedented changes in the global liquidity ecosystem. While central banks aim to protect their currencies by interest hikes, companies face increasing costs of debt and heightened refinancing risk. Consequently, companies feel the need to recycle cash even more quickly and to prioritise higher-yielding investment opportunities. Moreover, they need sufficient liquidity to meet their current and future financial/payment obligations, while disrupted supply chains become more working capital intensive.
On the other side of the liquidity ecosystem, banks are faced with similar challenges. They need to optimise their balance sheet and liquidity buffers, and need to comply with ongoing payment infrastructure initiatives, such as CSM connectivity, the ISO 20022 migration, instant payment mandates, and evolving transaction screening/sanctions activities.
During this two-day EBA Liquidity Management Seminar, we will unravel these unprecedented changes and bring them into perspective, creating a bird’s-eye overview of today’s liquidity management landscape from the perspective of all actors: corporates, banks and eco-system providers. The seminar’s faculty will share with the delegates their ideas and understanding on how they perceive the shift to a new paradigm for liquidity management.
Who is this seminar for?
Transaction bankers and payment service providers working in areas such as liquidity management, payments operations, product management, sales, balance sheet management – and everyone who is interested in better understanding liquidity management today and in the future.
