The UPEN Devolved and Regional Sub-Committee are delighted to organise a national event this year focussed on Regional Policy Engagement, Academic Policy Engagement, and the Future of Devolution. This one-day event will take place on the 9th July 2024 and hosted in Leeds by Leeds Beckett University.

The event will showcase best practices of academic policy engagement across the devolved UK, delving into the sustainability of existing models and a reciprocal workshop to reflect on how academia and policy makers do engage.

Across three session the day will look to deliver engaging discussion on the following topics;

  • Devolution and Academic Policy Engagement: The lessons so far.
  • Academic Policy Engagement: Building Sustainability and Resilience.
  • The Future of Devolution and the role of universities and academic research.

This fringe event is part of a wider series in the run up to UPEN's main conference, on May 21st at the University of York.
