With a strong desire to help continue to pay hommage to the Afro-patrimony of Paris we offer the following. For centuries visitors to Paris have been fascinated by the macabre, floral, fauna, stone, the stories and spirits of the cemeteries of Paris. Their in-depth and unique histories continue throughout the ages to marvel, teach and cast a spell on us from beyond their graves. And their stories are vast and diverse. Brian Scott Bagley, the founder ofthe Musée Josephine Baker et Des Afro- Descendants de Paris would like to invite you to discover the Black History of these hallowed and historical cemeteries of Paris. Brian will guide you through cemeteries, Père Lachaise and the Cemetery of Montmartre as we learn and pay homage to the rich lives of Afro-Descendants who have made these historic locations their places of rest. Great Afro-Parisians such as Richard Wright, Patrick Kelly, and Alexandre Dumas Fils, and many more who deserved a solemn payment of respect and appreciation from visitors to the world to Paris.
