20:00 – 20:30 VR Prototyping in Automotive, by Boris Milkowski
All over the world, car manufacturers are experiencing a profound transformation. OEMs go through the transition towards becoming digital product companies and multi-faceted mobility providers. Apart from this monumental shift, there are many new trends shaping the business: Autonomous Driving, Gig & Sharing Economy, and Electrification—, just to name a few. The autonomous driving market is estimated to be $800 billion in 2035, according to Intel. This “passenger economy”, as Intel is calling it, includes the value of the products and services derived from fully autonomous vehicles as well as indirect savings such as time. By 2050, mobility as a service will generate about $3 trillion in revenue. Every service offered in this market needs to be designed. Designing solutions for autonomous vehicles is hard. With Athena, Boris and his team are building a VR prototyping tool which lets you design and test almost anything.
