Description de l'événement
The presidency of Donald Trump will eventually end. Perhaps in 2021. Perhaps later. But it will end.

À propos de cet événement

When it does, though, its successors will not be free of its influence. In this talk, William Howell will reflect on the enduring impacts of Trump’s administration on American politics—on the brand and identity of the two major parties, on the health of democratic norms, and on the capacity of future presidents to govern America.

William Howell is the Sydney Stein Professor in American Politics at the University of Chicago, where he holds appointments in the Harris School, political science department, and College. Currently, he is the chair of the political science department, director of the Center for Effective Government, and co-host of Not Another Politics Podcast. William has written widely on separation-of-powers issues and American political institutions, especially the presidency. He currently is working on research projects on separation of powers issues, the origins of political authority, and the normative foundations of executive power.
