Description

Dear Members and new participants,

we are building a Swiss CyberSecurity Community of IT Security experts end enthusiasts where we can exchange ideas, we can grow professionally and we can get in touch with the community members.

On the 27th of September we will speak about Mobile Security.

The rise of mobile device usage in organizations requires to constantly adapt to the ever-evolving mobile security threats. Join us to hear from experts about these threats and protective measures that organizations can apply to manage them. The compute and storage limitations of mobile devices require mobile solutions to be highly dependent on backend services hosted on a machine with adequate compute power. These services communicate with mobile apps via APIs, therefore, the ability to create secure mobile APIs is critical.

Agenda:

18:30-19:00 Welcome and registration

19:00-20:30

Thando Toto - opening keynote - We have become dependent on the mobility and connectivity offered by mobile devices to the extent that they are an essential part of our modern life. Thando Toto will discuss problems and opportunities that come with mobile technology.

Manfred Moehn: The application economy is transforming the way you do business. As with any true transformation, there are risks and challenges you need to address. To take advantage of new revenue opportunities and emerging market models, you need to open up valuable enterprise data to mobile apps, cloud services, developer communities, and partners via APIs. Manfred will provide insights of how to run APIs securely.

Amine Ayad: Mobile has emerged as a key component of the Advanced Persistent Threat arsenal. These "mAPTs" take advantage of the smartphone's features and capabilities and turn it into the ideal weapon for cyber espionage. Phishing, remote and silent jailbreaks, spywares, network attacks and other sophisticated, targeted, and persistent mobile attacks are some of the topics that will be covered during this session. The goal is to bring awareness and break myths about Mobile Device Management solutions’ security capabilities.
