Second GAIIA Summer-School

Artificial Intelligence for Human-Machine Collaboration in EU Horizon 2020 and beyond

MINES ParisTech, 8-12 July 2019, Sophia-Antipolis, France


The GAIIA association in cooperation with the Postmaster’s Programme AIMove of MINES ParisTech, PSL Université Paris, are pleased to announce the 2nd GAIIA Summer-School on « Artificial Intelligence for Human-Machine Collaboration in EU Horizon 2020 and beyond ». The 2019 edition of the Summer School aims to bring together key partners from H2020 projects with a focus on Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence.

This Summer School would like to invite researchers and professionals involved in AI-related Research and Innovation, such as ergonomists, engineers, practitioners, PhD and Master students, to get together in order to exchange and explore potential synergies.

The 2nd GAIIA Summer-School will cover the following topics through presenting examples of state-of the art research from ongoing H2020 projects:

- Factory of the Future and Collaborative Robotics
- Digital Transformation In Cultural and Creative Industries
- Internet of Things and Well-Being
- Information and Communication Technologies for All

On the last day, participants will have the opportunity to meet experts to discuss the ethical and societal challenges related to AI. Furthermore, they will investigate how these challenges can be taken into considered in the research process of the projects.

Participants will attend insightful presentations, demonstrations and workshops from a number of H2020 projects, based on the most recent advances on Human-Centred AI.

This Summer School serves as a meeting hub for discussing and exchanging ideas, methodologies, strategies, and can work as a platform to disseminate scientific results.

Notification of acceptance: 30th April 2019

Early registration deadline: 15th May 2019

Late registration deadline: 15th June 2019

Camera ready poster due: 15th June 2019

Welcome reception: 8th July 2019

Audience

The 2nd GAIIA Summer-School targets Bachelor, Master and PhD students, researchers, professionals from a range of fields, including AI, IT, arts, engineering, industry, business innovation, entrepreneurship etc. A background in computer science is necessary, as the programme will include technical content.
