Marché d'Aligre
25-11 Rue d'Aligre 75012 Paris FranceBy far the best way to explore the rich cultural diversity of Paris is by taking a trip to a food
market.
Join us on Friday October 1 at 11am for a short bus ride to the vibrant Marché d'Aligre in the
12th arrondissement. There we will discover stands selling huge piles of the fresh mint and
cilantro essential to North African cuisine, organic vegetables from the Ile de France, and a
stand entirely devoted to potatoes of every size and shape imaginable. In the covered
market we will see stalls offering the culinary specailties of places as far apart as Italy and
the Antilles...to say nothing of one of the best cheese shops in Paris. After buying a few
treats for lunch, we'll head off to a park or back to NYUP to eat them and talk about our
morning.
We'll meet in front of NYU Paris at 11 am sharp. Bring your Navigo Pass and lunch money.
