À propos de cet évènement
The TIL Texte-Image-Langage research centre and the MA Multimedia Translation (T2M) team at the University of Burgundy are pleased to invite you to a symposium on the topic of Language and Culture in Videogames on Friday, 6 November 2020. Following new health measures announced by the French government on 28 October 2020, the event will be held entirely online and available everywhere.
It is open to researchers, practitioners, students and interested members of the public.
The symposium will be held in English and aims to bring together perspectives from academic research and professional practice in a range of fields including game studies, localisation studies and intercultural studies, with a combination of conference-style papers and round table discussions.
Registration is free (but compulsory). Tickets originally issued for onsite attendance will be converted automatically to online attendance: there is no need to reserve a new ticket.
The symposium will be followed on Saturday 7 September by a LocJam (game localisation competition) open to participating universities, introduced by a game localisation masterclass.
Please note: connection information will be sent by email, using the address you specified when you registered. Emails will be sent at 8am and just before the beginning of the seminar on Friday 6/11, as well as during the lunch break.
