Description de l'événement

Description

WHAT IS THIS HACKATHON ABOUT?

It's a madhouse where talents of all sorts can express themselves, where developers and UX/Marketing teams work hand in hand to create the most inspiring and useful well-being application.

The applications must use the new Pepper SDK for Android to interact and communicate with the robot. IoT will be provided but you can bring your own. You're also welcome to use third-party SDKs and tools.

Registration fees will be 100% reimbursed after the event for the participants who will have taken part in the hackathon. They are only intended to reduce the no-show rate and ease organization. All breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks and beverages as well as many more surprises will be free!

This 48 hours challenge will be intense and the winning team will earn cool IoT material!

If you feel up for it, register here :)

THEME: "PEPPER: A ROBOT FOR WELL-BEING?"

For its first hackathon on Pepper, SoftBank Robotics Europe chose a theme that matters: "Pepper, a robot for well-being?" Humanoid robots are able to make a difference in people's life.

What's your vision? How would you like Pepper to help you or your loved ones?

Since we're evolving in a very connected world, we offer you the chance to make the very best out of all existing IoT and our new Pepper SDK for Android in order to create the perfect application. Beacons, Mirror Dev Kit, smart plugs, connected lamps... Coding on a robot isn't just like any other Android application you could develop.

Pepper isn't just a device: it's a humanoid robot that moves and behaves.

This hackathon is the first opportunity for developers in Europe to bring their ideas to life.

Inspiring, isn't it?

WHO IS IT FOR?

Engineers, data scientists, UX, marketing... from all around the world. A melting pot of talents and personalities is key to keep a creative open mind and imagine the next killer app.

At SoftBank Robotics Europe, we think that success comes from multiple origins.
