ESSEC Open World: a space where faculty, students and staff can come together to exchange on multicultural and international themes; share and obtain information; speak different languages; access, learn about, and participate in different cultural practices and traditions.
During Involvement Week, ESSEC Open World proposes the following activities:

Feel, Taste, See, Touch, Hear Our Culture (Monday, October 12th at 2:00pm-4:00pm)
A multicultural showcase through the 5 senses: a celebration of our rich cultures through dance, music, traditional attire, food, pictures (including French regional traditions). / Venez célébrer vos origines et régions par une exposition culturelle à travers un exposé, la musique, les habits traditionnels, la dégustation de nourriture, ...
Slam, Jam & Improv (Monday, October 12th at 4:15pm-5:15pm)
Come join this Open Mic: sing a song, read a poem, improvise. The idea is to creatively share literature, poetry and musical forms in any language (including in French and in French regional dialects). / Open Mic : venez lire un récit, un poème, improviser, chanter dans la langue de votre choix
My Life in 10: Stories from migrants and refugees (Tuesday, October 13th at 11:30am-1:00pm)
Migrants and refugees from diverse backgrounds will share their stories -: Christians from Middle East countries fleeing persecution; newly arrived Syrians, Afghans, Iraqis fleeing wars; Africans fleeing countries such as the Sudan, Eritrea, Somalia, North Africa; Boat people from Vietnam, etc. Professionals in charge of NGOs, international organizations and associations will also share their stories working with migrants and refugees.
Speed Talking (Tuesday, October 13th at 2:15pm-3:15pm)
Participants will be able to change tables and exchange in different languages. Idea is to promote bilingualism (including in French and in French regional dialects).
ESSECultural Talk (Thursday, October 15th at 10:00am-11:00am)
An ESSECultural Talk session with video conference with the CNIT; a multicultural exposé followed by Q&A.
Lunch Language Tables (Thursday, October 15th at 12:00pm-1:00pm)
Eating and sharing lunch while speaking different languages (including in French and in French regional dialects).
Did you Know? (Thursday, October 15th at 1:30pm-2:30pm)
Cultural quiz on cultures and diversity across the globe – with prizes and goodies for winners.
