ECOTALKS - Building a more sustainable future with biodesign
Informations sur l'événement
À propos de cet évènement
A chair made of mushrooms, a shirt made of orange fibre, a bag made of apple leather...
All of these objects were born out of the need to address contemporary environmental challenges and are the result of biodesign, a collaborative approach integrating science, nature and creativity.
Nature and design have been going hand in hand for many years, with designers taking inspiration from the shapes and curves of nature to incorporate them into their designs and improve everyday objects. But today, the approach to biodesign has evolved. More and more designers are moving beyond simply imitating the world around them. They are now attempting to replicate nature's systems and incorporate living organisms into their designs. With this innovative approach, designers are trying to limit the negative effects of their creations on the environment, with the aim of forging a more sustainable future.
During this evening talks, we will explore the possibilities offered by biodesign to accelerate the sustainable transition of fashion and design. Our reflection will be guided by the varied experiences of the speakers, combining scientific knowledge, creativity, innovation and sustainability.
