Covid pandemic has strongly affected international fairs. What has been the impact specifically on jewelry trade shows where being with the clients, showing the collections has always been key?

Furthermore, jewelry fairs mainly showcased important Maison and brands. What is then the future trend in terms of giving young talents a support, allowing them to express their most creative and disruptive approaches to jewelry design?

During this webinar we will have the opportunity to:

With the experience of 25 years in jewelry and luxury goods, Donatella has gained the skills and knowledge that facilitate her as a reliable freelance consultant today. She currently works as a consultant, supporting jewelry and luxury brands in finding and establishing the delicate synergy between creativity, product development and strategic marketing. She is also mostly recognized for supporting consolidated business in re-branding and re-positioning and for helping start-ups in achieving their break-even targets with a fresh and 360° approach.
Donatella teaches at various Universities in Milan and is a member of the Professional Faculty at Bocconi University. She is the Director of the Luxury Marketing Master at CREA Geneva.

After working with his father for 10 years, Ronny Totah founded Horovitz & Totah SA together with his partner in 1990. Over the years, he has become the specialist for Kashmir sapphires and natural pearls. Ronny Totah’s motto has always been to serve the industry on the ethical aspect therefore, he never misses an occasion to get involved into various organisms of the trade. As the chairman of the nomenclature committee of ICA from 1991 to 1995, he strongly pushed for the full disclosure on precious stones. He truly believes that educating gem and jewellery lovers is very important for people to understand what they are purchasing.
Member of the board of Director of the Swiss Gemological Laboratory (SSEF) since 1990 and vice-president of the Swiss Association of Precious Stones dealers, Ronny Totah’s policy is to deal with natural and non-treated gems only, thus making the company proud and honored to have acquired a trustworthy reputation throughout the whole world. In 2018, he co-founded GemGenève with Thomas Faerber, a new generation show taking place in Geneva.

A professional background that includes important projects and collaborations designing for the most prestigious luxury brands, such as Cartier, Jaeger-Le Coultre, Bulgari, Tiffany & Co. and Ferragamo as Senior Watch Manager and Designer. Anna decided to launch her Fine Jewerly line at the end of 2018. It is a very innovative project inspired by her heritage in watchmaking. In her creations, Anna combines the Art of movement from the Watch techniques into Jewelry, with a perfect balance and an extremely sensitive approach.
All the collections are deeply inspired by the theme of Time. A time that must not be chased or taken by granted, but appreciated, loved, lived. It is a tribute to memory through imagination. Memory is able to connect us to our roots and tradition; Imagination can inspire and bring us to the future. Memory is our essence. Imagination is our dream.

Thomas Faerber , Antique jewelry and gems dealer and one of GemGenève Founders

Before founding his own company in 1968 in Zurich, Thomas Faerber worked with the top diamond and precious stone dealers in Munich, Amsterdam, London, Antwerp and Paris. In 1973, he was the first to sell vintage jewelry in Baselworld. He set up in Geneva in 1980. Until 2000 he was president of the Swiss Stone Dealers Association. In 2004, in recognition of Faerber’s contribution to French culture, Thomas Faerber was awarded the medal of Chevalier de L’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Together with Ronny Totah, he founded GemGenève in 2018.

Marco Carniello, Group Brand Director Jewellery & Fashion at VicenzaOro Fair

Marco Carniello joined Italian Exhibition Group (merger of Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza) in July 2016 and he is the Group Brand Director for Jewellery and Fashion shows, including the international jewellery appointment VicenzaOro. Before entering the event industry, Marco worked in strategy consultancy with Accenture and Bain & Company and as sales Director for an accessories and fashion company in a private equity deal. Engineer by background, he holds an MBA from IESE Business School.

Bernd Stadlwieser joined the MCH Group on 01 June 2019 as Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He has more than 20 years' international professional experience in the watch & jewellery and art sectors as well as in the fields of business development and digitisation. After holding different senior positions at Swarovski, he worked for the Thomas Sabo group from 2003 to 2014, first as managing director for Switzerland and Great Britain, and then as Group CEO as of 2006. From 2014 to 2017, he was Group CEO of Avenso (Lumas, White Wall), before switching to Mondaine Group as Group CEO in December 2017. After attending the commercial academy in Austria, he completed a multi-year programme for young executives at Swarovski and, studying part-time, obtained a Swiss Federal Diploma as a Marketing Manager and an Executive BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration).
