Description de l'événement
Fourth (rescheduled) walking conference of the Metropolitan Trails Academy Tour 2020 in Köln (DE)

À propos de cet événement

Following our exhibit and our national conference at the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations (Mucem), we are happy to announce the creation of the Metropolitan Trails Academy project (co-funded by the erasmus+ programme of the european union).

Founded by a network of partners from Athens(GR), Paris(FR), Marseille(FR), Köln(DE) and Milano (IT), the Metropolitan Trails Academy launches in 2020 a brand new training course in those 5 European cities.

----------

• You are an architect, landscaper or town planner and you want to improve your fieldwork experiences but you always miss time and tools to do it...

• You are a member of a hiking group and you would like to learn about architecture and town planning, and now opportunities to apprehend those fields by walking...

• You are unemployed and you love your town. You are curious about geography, urban environnement issues, and would love to run something but don't know where to start...

• You work in the educational field, with kids or adults, and you are enthusiast about popular education projects and fieldwork but easily get lost without a GPS.

• You are an artist and you are interested in walking artist projects but you feel like missing tools and tricks

• You are already involved in projects that have a link with urban walking (such as Jane's walks), urban writing, urban sketching, urban agriculture... and want to learn about metropolitan trails because you feel it could bring you and your project a bit further,

--------

Please register, and join us, for this fourth walking Conference in Köln in the footsteps of Boris Sieverts and Nicolas Mémain.

We are going to present to you the outputs of the Metropolitan Trails Academy (charter, guide and MOOC) and will address the issue of guiding.

Metropolitan paths are nomadic schools, heirs of the theories and practices of popular education (cf. Paolo Freire). The role of the guide as we see it is closer to that of a facilitator, a creator of social situations conducive to co-learning, than that of a real teacher. This consists in creating the right conditions to make participants attentive and willing to share their knowledge in the field.
