"10 Key Principles at any Negotiation"
Negotiation has become one of the most essential professional skills for senior executives and leaders around the world. A frequently asked question is: How can we increase our negotiation power? The truth is that a good deal of power comes from deliberate preparation, which is unfortunately the most commonly overlooked aspect of negotiation. The degree of success or failure in negotiation is often the result of the quality of preparation.
The objective of this master class is to highlight challenges and solutions in preparation based on the 3P theory: People, Process and Problem to maximise negotiation outcomes. The speaker will also cover the 10 Key Principles that any negotiator should be mindful of before entering into a negotiation.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Mr. Ta Wei Chao is the Executive Director of the Asian branch of the Institute for Research and Education on Negotiation, ESSEC Business School (IRENE Asia-Pacific). He was a visiting scholar at ESSEC Business School and a Consulting Manager at Accenture Taipei office, in Taiwan. With IRENE, he conducts executive workshops on Negotiation and Leadership frequently in Europe and Asia, for companies and business organizations (DHL, Alcatel-Lucent, Medtronic, etc.), public organizations (European Commission, French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs, etc.), and higher education institutions (ESSEC, ENA, Mannheim Business School, Indian Institute of Management, National Taiwan University, etc.). Mr. Chao obtained his Master and Bachelor degree from National Taiwan University.
